Talk rules
What makes a TEDx talk.
A TEDx talk is not a keynote, a motivational speech, or a product presentation. It's a carefully prepared, idea-driven talk centred on one clear idea worth spreading — original, well-supported, and relevant to a broad community audience. Talks target 10–15 minutes, with an 18-minute TEDx maximum. Science, health, and medical claims must be referenced and verified, and every speaker attends rehearsals before signing a release form.
Talks we cannot accept
- Promotional talks for a product, service, or organisation
- Motivational-only speeches with no clear original idea
- Political campaign content or partisan messaging
- Religious preaching or calls to adopt a belief or practice
- Pseudoscience or unverified medical/health claims
- Talks that commercially benefit the speaker
